Dr. Saltman is a board certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon trained locally at the highly-competitive Medstar Washington Hospital Center residency program in Washington, D.C., serving as Chief Resident in his final year. This program was nationally recognized for its unique and intense training in dental implantology for nearly 30 years under the direction of world-renowned implant prosthodontist Dr. Hamid Shafie, who remains a close friend and mentor even after retiring from teaching.

After residency, Dr. Saltman helped build The Center for Oral Surgery & Implantology, serving the greater Boston area, and quickly earning distinction as a Boston Magazine “top Oral Surgeon” within his first year in the area.

Dr. Saltman brings his unique and cutting-edge implant training and experience back to the DC community he knows and loves most, along with the compassion, patience, and finesse for which he came to be known throughout his training and career.

Dr. Saltman grew up in St. Louis, MO, and brings his Midwestern kindness and candor to work every day. He attended the University of Pennsylvania to complete his undergraduate degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry, where he obtained his Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry. During his time at Temple, he conducted and presented award-winning scientific research, received the Howard Carson, DMD Award for Excellence in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honors Society. In addition to his academic achievements, his experience in amateur comedy and screenwriting is evident from his sense of humor and fun-loving spirit.
